Quantum computing is moving beyond research laboratories and into real-world applications. While quantum computers are unlikely to replace classical systems, they have the potential to fundamentally change how software-intensive systems are designed, integrated, and operated.
This session introduces the foundations of quantum information processing from a software architect’s perspective and examines the architectural implications of quantum technologies. We will focus on relevant quality attributes and system decomposition for hybrid quantum-classical systems.
Attendees will gain an understanding of where quantum computing creates new opportunities, where its practical limitations lie, and how software architecture must evolve to accommodate this emerging technology.
